[編集] 世界観
World of Warcraft の世界は、まず従来の世界であるAzerothと、拡張パック Burning Crusade で追加されたOutlandに分けられる。
AzerothからOutlandへの移動は Blasted Lands に設置された DarkPortal から移動する事が可能である。但し、レベル制限（58以上）があり、当然拡張パックをインストールしておく必要がある。
逆に、Outlandから、Azerothへは、上記 DarkPortal から戻ることも可能であるが、Terokkar Forest にある超巨大都市 Shattrath City 内に両勢力各首都への Portal が設置されているので、こちらで移動する事も可能である。（但し、一方通行であり、再び Portal を介して Outland に戻ることは出来ない。）

World of Warcraft 初期からある世界であり、地球のような球体をしている。
世界には、The Lands of Kalimdor と The Eastan Kingdoms の２大陸が存在し、その間に The Maelstrom と呼ばれる大きな渦があると言われている。
